Christmas Tree Bokeh



1) This is a picture of our Christmas tree, which was taken by me. Although you cannot tell, because of the blurriness, our tree is a pretend, fake, NOT real, tree... I guess it's better than none. I prefer real trees, big evergreens! Those are my favorite, we have had real trees in the past, this year... Mr. Pretend came  to visit.  

2) Your most likely wondering what FratinsPhotography is... Now as many of you know, I am not a "official" photographer. FratinsPhotography is just sort of a way to tell you that I was the one who captured the picture. In the distant future though, it may be greater than that, we'll shall see!

One of those days... {in My World}

Today was a beautiful winter day, I slept in {till 8:30am I actually made myself stay in bed!} then had some yummy Chocolate Bobka bread for breakfast! Then I went to kohl's, you would not believe how crowded it was, I thought it was black friday sales or something! I got a new sweater dress and shoes for Church, something I've been wanting for a while. Then I went to a party at friends house and had a great time playing "Mad Gab" {one of my favorite games} laughing, and just hanging out! It was one of those days I remember how much I have been blessed with Friends, and family, the time and resources to go shopping, and just happiness!

The reason for the season

I love Christmas, and the beautiful snow,
sitting by warm fires, the wind whistling as it blows!
I love the first day when on the radio you hear,
Christmas music playing, bringing good cheer.
I like it when we go sledding down hills,
without a care in the world, but soon getting the chills.
Then we go inside and what do we see?
Cups of hot cocoa, mm, yummy!
Tomorrow we gather with friends close by,
then to our cousins, so far we have to fly.
On Christmas day we open our gifts,
yes, everything that was on our list!
But then we remember why we celebrate this season,
It's Jesus birth! Yes, that's the real reason!
Born in a stable on a cold winters nigh,
wrapped up in clothes, you never heard him cry.
Perfectly perfect, in every way,
a God who is awesome! and loves us each day!

The Beauties of Winter

This picture was on the yahoo news page, and it's so gorgeous I just had to put it on here! Visiting Paris is on my list of "things I wish I could do!", it's so beautiful there, especially in winter, sorry for going on and on about it, but this picture's breathtaking! Ok, I'm getting weird now...

Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving... time to stuff up on good food right? Well sadly, as with most holidays now we forget the reason for the season. Thanksgiving is usually just the little break between wants, halloween "I want candy!" and then Christmas "I want presents!" and most of us forget how important it is to thank God for all that he has blessed us with! Of course we all know the Thanksgiving story and why we remember it, but do you really take the time to thank God? I challenge all of you to make a list of 100 things that you are thankful for, right now, you may be reading this post a while after Thanksgiving but it's never to late to be thankful.

To me this was a very good lunch, because chinese is my favorite food! And I also love iced mocha lattes, isn't the can so cute?? I know you may think me weird for saying a can is cute, but I have to say they did a very good job desiging that can, it makes it very appealing!

Epic Edits

Hello all. I only have one epic edit for today :( and that is...

... Lilacs! Ahem, "pretty" lilacs

I edited this photo using picnik its a really nice [and free] editing site if you are looking to edit. I took this picture in our neighbors yard, it had just rained and i looked outside and saw these beautiful [originally purple] lilacs covered with raindrops. It was very pretty so i grabbed my camera and ran outside, hoping to catch the beautiful site! Originally this picture wasn't so nice, but after editing it i think it turned out pretty well, an epic edit!

Audition {tips}

As some of you know i recently auditioned for a theater company, [and got a callback] but then i got a email saying i didn't get in :( i just wanted to give you some tips though if you ever audition for anything, i am not an expert but here's some hints:

[and there is no order of importance]

1. Be excited! everyone has nerves, but you only have them because this is so special and you are excited so turn those nerves into excitement and keep thinking how fun this will be to do something you love. 

2. Remember [if its not a private audition] all the other kids in the room are probably nervous to, so encourage one another!

3. Love your monologue! you will be practicing allot and you really want to get into it, try to pick one where the character is your same gender, and around the same age.

4. SMILE! stand tall and smile! appearance is important to!

5. be loud even if your the only one, be very loud [but not shouting/mean] they want to see what you've got, and they can always tell you to lower it. 


6. When you are reciting your monologue or song, pick one spot in the room [maybe a little bit above the director] and focus on it. Don't look the director in the eyes, it will make you more nervous.

Masquerade

I am sooooo excited, tonight is our churchs middle school dance!! its a masquerade so i've got a mask, a really pretty dress, it's going to be so much fun! I cannot wait. the dress i'm wearing is the peach dress in the "Cousins" post [click on "cousins" to go to that post] on my other blog Fashion Forward 4 Fun. I wish that the dance would be longer it's only 3hr!! but what's neat is that they are teaching us different dances for 2/3 of the night and for the last part we have the "grand ball"!!

Plant Pictures :)

I love this picture!! It's one of the best "flower" pictures i've taken with my camera, my camera was only $50 so it's not the best quality! I love taking pictures outside of plants and flowers, stuff like that, they are so much easier than people, they don't move, and they are so colerful and make good pictures.
